European artists imagined, and reimagined, Western Australia in the nineteenth century. We consider their works as the unfamiliar became familiar.
Welcome to this exhibition of nineteenth-century representations of Western Australia. This project is the result of student work at The University of Notre Dame Australia in 2015 and considers the various ways in which alienation and adaptation are revealed in visual evidence of the colonial age.
