Fremantle and War Fremantle and War Fremantle and War Fremantle and War Fremantle and War
In the centenary year of World War One, we consider those objects in Fremantle's present which speak to its history of war.
Objects and artefacts ensure the immortality of story—they connect the lives of those who live in the present to the experiences and realities of people who have gone before us.

There are few human experiences more powerful than those of a community in times of war. This exhibition illuminates the key stories and experiences of Fremantle and the world wars, and shows how archival and other objects preserve them for the future.
